Gas prices going down on Feb. 1

The price at the gas pumps is expected to go down as a new month begins.
EnPro International said the price of gas is going down three cents on Wed, Feb. 1 to an average of $1.479 a litre at most Ottawa gas stations.

Back in June of 2022, the price at the pumps in Ottawa hit a record $2.159 a litre.
The Ontario government tabled legislation that would leave the tax break that cut gas prices by 5.7 cents a litre in place until the end of 2023. The cut first went into effect on July 1 and was originally due to expire on Dec. 31, 2022.
