The City of Ottawa's transit commission will have a new chair for the new term of council.
Kanata South Coun. Allan Hubley, who served as the chair of the transit commission for the previous term of council, told Wake Up With Rob Snow on Nov. 29 that it's time for a change.
"It's time for fresh eyes and fresh hands for this job and I will support whoever takes over that role, but it's not going to be me for the term of council," he added.
Hubley said the role of transit commission took away from his priorities as ward councillor for Kanata South.
"I got into politics because I wanted to help the people in my community," he added.
