Light earthquake felt in the Ottawa Valley

An earthquake was felt by some residents in the Ottawa Valley on the morning of May 10.

According to Earthquakes Canada, a magnitude 3.1 earthquake occurred at 10:12 a.m. about 11 kilometres north of Almonte, Ontario. 

The report says the earthquake was felt in both Almonte and Arnprior.

There have been no reports of any damage or injuries as a result of the incident.

There is a questionnaire on the Government of Canada website for anyone who felt the earthquake and can provide details.
