Mayfair Theatre real estate listing taken down

The Mayfair Theatre in Old Ottawa South isn't going anywhere after all.
A listing from an Ottawa realtor, which claimed its building was for sale on Wednesday, September 1, has been removed.
The building was priced at nearly $3-million and the ad said it was suitable for redevelopment.
The listing left the owners of Ottawa's oldest cinema surprised, especially given the building's historical status. Support from the community also flooded in following media exposure about the listing.
The Mayfair tweeted the 24 hour period the listing was active was hectic and confusing, but the community's response is the reason the theatre remains.
