Renfrew health unit investigating after Arnprior District High School student tests positive for COVID-19

A student at Arnprior District High School has tested positive for COVID-19.
The Renfrew County and District Health Unit confirmed the news in an announcement Thursday afternoon, adding that all students and staff who have been deemed to be in close contact of the positive case have been given direction to stay home, self-isolate and arrange for testing.
Despite the positive case, the school — located on Ottawa Street — will remain open to in-person learning for all other students and staff.
RCDHU says it is actively investigating the case and all high risk contacts will get a standard text message from a public health nurse at RCDHU or a virtual assistant notifying them that they may have recently been exposed to COVID-19.
