A 20-year-old Pembroke man is facing stunt driving charges after The Ontario Provincial Police spotted a vehicle travelling 140 km/hr in a 90 km/hr zone.

That was Saturday evening on Hwy. 17 EB, east of Calabogie Road in the Township of McNab Braeside.

Joseph Bourgeau will appear in court this April.

Also Saturday, Officers responded to a crash on Plaunt Street in Renfrew.

An SUV had hit a parked car. The driver then failed a sobriety test.

Reginald Scully, 62, was charged with impaired driving and driving over 80mgs.  He will also appear in court next month.

Sunday, Renfrew OPP got word that several items had been stolen from change rooms at the Astrolabe Arena in Cobden. The incidents happened between 6 a.m. and 8:20 a.m.

A man was seen going in and out of various change rooms before leaving through a fire exit door at the back of the building.

The suspect is described as standing 5' 7″ with a medium build, and was wearing a hoodie with a jacket over top of it and boots at the time.

A credit or debit card, stolen in the thefts, was used later in the evening at the Ultramar Gas Bar in Arnprior and at a Fresh Mart grocery store in Ottawa.

Finally, on Sunday police charged a 65-year-old man after a traffic stop in which the driver refused to take a breath test.

Peter McLeod of McNab Braeside was charged with refusing to provide a breath sample, driving while under suspension, driving with open alcohol and driving with an expired validation tag.
