Temporary no stopping zone will be set up in section of downtown Ottawa

By CityNews Ottawa

A temporary no stopping zone is going in place for some parts of downtown Ottawa on Saturday, July 23.

Ottawa By-law Services said in a tweet that temporary no-stopping signs will be set up in the area of Bronson Avenue in the west, the Rideau Canal in the east, Wellington Street in the north and Laurier Avenue in the south.

By-law officials and the Ottawa Police Service have not stated why the no stopping zone was being implemented.

According to the Freedom Fighters Canada website, they are inviting people to join in a slow-roll from Brockville, Kemptville, Renfrew and Arnprior to downtown Ottawa in support of farmers protesting the government's new environmental rules in the Netherlands.
