Two people have been injured in a fire in North Gower.

Just before 11 p.m. on Thursday, July 1, Ottawa Fire Services (OFS) received a notification from an alarm monitoring company that a fire alarm was going off at a home on Roger Stevens Drive, between Perkins Drive and Craighurst Drive.

Firefighters arrived to find a working fire in one unit of a single-storey, multi-unit residential complex. Crews extinguished the fire shortly before 12 a.m., preventing it from spreading to any adjoining units.

One person has been displaced by the fire and the Ottawa Paramedic Service transported two people to hospital with non-critical injuries.

An Ottawa Fire Investigator responded to the scene to determine the cause of the fire.

No damage estimate has been released.
