A pair of Ottawa Redblacks players have earned Canadian Football League (CFL) East Division all-star honours.
Wide receiver Jaelon Acklin and defensive lineman Lorenzo Mauldin IV have been named to the 2022 CFL East Division all-star team.
In his first season with the Redblacks, Acklin had the best season of his CFL career by catching 75 passes for 1,169 yards despite being limited to 15 games due to injury. He also caught a pair of touchdowns.
Mauldin finished the 2022 season as the CFL sack leader with 17, and broke the Redblacks previous single-season record of 12, set by Justin Capicciotti in 2015. Appearing in all 18 games, Mauldin also recorded 43 defensive tackles, and a pair of forced fumbles, and was named an East Division finalist for 2022's Most Outstanding Defensive Player.
