UPDATE: Environment Canada thunderstorm watch for Ottawa lifted

The severe thunderstorm warning for Ottawa and surrounding areas on Aug. 29 has been lifted by Environment Canada.

Earlier, the weather agency stated the weather conditions were favourable for the deployment of severe thunderstorms with wind gusts between 90 km/h and 100 km/h and producing nickel sized hail.
