Animal cruelty charge laid against Pembroke man

A 22-year-old Pembroke man is facing one count of animal cruelty.

Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a call of a man abusing a dog on Christie Street in Pembroke around 2 a.m., Sunday.

Noah Richard Neuman is charged with the following offences:

– Cruelty to animals
– Fail to comply with probation

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on September 4, 2018. 

The dog did not require veterinary treatment at the time and it has been removed from the care of the accused.
