Brockville police arrest man on charges of luring, invitation to sexual touching

Brockville police have arrested a 40-year-old man on charges of luring and invitation to sexual touching.
Police said they arrested the man after 8 a.m. Thursday when they received a complaint on March 17 in relation to a social media post.
The post sparked the investigation and led to the arrest.
According to officers, the post showed a conversation between the accused — a Brockville resident — and an unknown subject who identified themselves as a 12-year-old girl.
The accused has been held in custody for a bail hearing.
The investigation is ongoing, so no further information will be released at this time.
