Employee at Navan business slows armed robbery suspects, police make two arrests

Two ottawa men, both federal parolees, are facing charges in connection with an armed robbery at a Navan business.
Ottawa police officers were called to a robbery in progress at a business on Mer Bleue Road at Navan Road, Sunday just after 9 a.m.
According to police, two armed men wearing masks had robbed a business of cash and were trying to get away, but were being chased by an employee.
The employee's car and the get-away vehicle had crashed, so the robbers were taking off on foot.
Officers were able to arrested the two suspects a short time later.
Victor Bulgar, 41, and Jean-Francois Darilus, 29 each face charges of:
- Robbery with a weapon
- Mischief to property
- Wearing a disguise
- Weapons possession
- Dangerous driving
Bulgar faces an additional charge of theft over $5,000.
The accused are scheduled to appear in court, Monday.
