Kingston man charged with impaired driving

Members of the Lennox and Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a driver with impaired driving.

On Aug. 8 at approximately 12 p.m., officers responded to a traffic complaint on Highway 401 eastbound in Greater Napanee. Officers located a vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.

As a result of an investigation, Philip Healey, 63, of Kingston was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – drugs 
  • Drive vehicle with cannabis readily available
  • Fail to surrender licence 
  • Fail to properly wear seat belt
  • Fail to surrender insurance card 

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on August 30, 2022. His licence was suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
