OPP arrest three males after robbery in Carleton Place

Officers with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Lanark County detachment arrested and charged three males after an incident at a hardware store in Carleton Place on April 10. 

At roughly 2:50 p.m., OPP officers responded after three males entered a store, stole various items, used a noxious substance while in the store and then fled the scene in a vehicle. Several store employees and customers were treated for minor injuries. 

Christopher Leahy, 33, of Ottawa has been charged with:

– Robbery with theft
– Administer noxious thing 
– Theft over $5000 
– Obstruct Justice 

Patrick St. Denis, 39, of Ottawa has been charged with:

– Robbery with theft
– Administer noxious thing 
– Theft over $5000 
– Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000 

Jody Trepanier-August, 28, of Ottawa has been charged with:

– Robbery with theft
– Administer noxious thing 
– Theft over $5000 

All three men have been held pending bail hearings at the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on April 13.
