OPP officers lay more than 70 charges in Easter weekend safety blitz

By CityNews Ottawa

The Renfrew and Arnprior Detachments of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted an Easter weekend safety campaign, resulting in 72 seatbelt related offences.

The campaign, which took place from April 15 until April 18, concentrated on seatbelt related offences.

The OPP reminds drivers that while the campaign is over, officers are committed to traffic safety enforcement and education year-round. Drivers are required by law to ensure they have proper (and properly installed) child car seats for babies, toddlers and small children.
