Ottawa men charged in gun theft break-ins

Three men, two of which are from Ottawa, face charges in connection with a pair of break-ins at homes near Kemptville and Merrickville, where guns were stolen.

The incidents date back to December of 2016 on River Road in North Grenville and on Heritage Drive in Montague Township. 

Yousef Abbadi, 21, of Ottawa is charged with: 

– Trafficking in firearms

Henock Mekonen Kidane, 21, of North York is charged with:

– Break and enter a place to commit an indictable offence
– Break and enter a place with the intent to commit an indictable offence
– Break and enter a place to steal a firearm
– Unauthorized possession of a firearm
– Trafficking in firearms

Kaizen Ritch-O'Reilly, 21, of Ottawa is charged with:

– Break and enter a place to commit an indictable offence
– Break and enter a place with the intent to commit an indictable offence
– Break and enter a place to steal a firearm
– Unauthorized possession of a firearm
– Trafficking in firearms

Kidane and Ritch-O'Reilly remain in custody, pending a bail hearing at the Perth Ontario Court of Justice.
