However, another vehicle was towed for obstructing traffic near Nepean and Bank streets.
While the trucks left the area, it’s unclear if they left the city or moved to another spot.
CityNews Ottawa has reached out to OPS for clarification on Thursday, February 10 at 9:30 a.m. The story will be updated as soon as a response is provided.
Ottawa police confirmed yesterday that a new encampment was set up at 1500 Bronson Ave. for the truckers to park their vehicles.
According to City Manager Steve Kanellakos, the new site is necessary, and trucks at the encampment are overflow from the site at RCGT Park.
Police also released a warning yesterday evening, reminding protesters that if they obstruct, interrupt or interfere with the lawful use, enjoyment or operation of property — including city streets in the Red Zone — is committing mischief to property and could be charged with a criminal offence.
