City pushes transitway expansion plan

The city hopes to surge full speed ahead with its 76-million dollar plan for getting buses off the Queensway.
It is being prompted by the federal government’s purchase of the old Nortel campus.
The extension, to be built between Bayshore station and Moodie Drive, would take OC Transpo buses off the Queensway in that stretch.
The original finish date was 2021, but the city hopes to push that up to 2014.
