CHEO Telethon a record breaker

The CHEO Telethon wrapped up Sunday evening with a record-breaking fundraising total.
This year’s total was $6,335,595.00, and includes money raised throughout the year through individual and corporate donations, special fundraising events, and funds collected by phone and on-line during the Telethon.
Fred Bartlett, President and CEO of the CHEO Foundation, said “When the phones ring it is music to the ears of CHEO staff as they know that those donations will help them provide the best possible care for our children and youth”.
Funds donated to the Telethon help the hospital fund research, purchase new equipment, train staff, enhance the pediatric nature of the hospital, and assist families in crisis.
Due to the postal strike, the CHEO Foundation encourages anyone planning to mail in their donation, to use one of the following methods instead. Credit card donations can be made by phone at 613-737-2780 or on-line at www.cheofoundation.com.
