More details coming out about two men killed in shooting at Gloucester Centre

Ottawa Police remain tight lipped about Wednesday night’s shooting at the Gloucester Centre, which saw two men killed and has left a lot of questions unanswered.

The men are the city’s 8th and 9th murders of the year.

Two pictures are emerging of Graham Thomas, the 35-year-old owner of the Carribean Exposure tanning salon in the mall, who was killed in the shooting.

He was living the suburban lifestyle in Riverside South with his wife and two young children.

However, Thomas spent 2 and a half years behind bars for his part in Project Cape in 2000, which targeted the cocaine trade between Montreal and Ottawa.

The Citizen reports Thomas also had ties to the Hells Angels and the Rizzuto crime family in Montreal.

Thomas had some scheduled court appearances on the horizon, including next week as a witnesses in an intimidation trial.

Next September he was also due in court on charges of attacking a man with a baseball bat.

The other victim, Jason Chapman, was also known to police with some drug charges and he was thought to be Thomas’ driver.

Police believe he was in the wrong place at the wrong time and not the target of what many are calling an execution.
