Police investigating two suspicious deaths after crash in Quebec

The Ottawa Police Service and Sûreté du Québec are investigating the suspicious deaths of two people they believe are connected after receiving a call about a collision.
After responding to the report on Aug. 22, just before 1:00 a.m., officials located a person in the car on Highway 50, by Papineauville, Que. Officers say they found injuries that they believe to be suspicious in nature. The person was taken to hospital and died shortly after arriving.
Police continued their investigation that brought them into a building on Guigues Avenue in Ottawa. When police entered around 11:09 a.m., they discovered a second person who had died.
Due to the ongoing investigation, residents may notice an increased police presence around the area as police look for more evidence. Officials say that there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
