OPP seize vehicle for forensic testing

OPP have sent a vehicle in for forensic testing in the Jessica Godin case.

The 18-year-old from Casselman was killed after being hit by a vehicle and thrown into a ditch near Hawkesbury, on Sept. 22 between 7 p.m. and 8:15 p.m.

The truck is a Dodge Ram owned by a roofing company her boyfriend works for.  Three men including the boyfriend of Godin have been questioned and released by police.

Boyfriend Jonathon Smith said the seized truck did not have any evidence it was involved in an accident.  The company was forced to buy another truck while their vehicle sits in the impound yard.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or call Det. Const. Dan Fedele at 613-632-2729.
