Man in critical condition after snowmobile accident west of the city

OTTAWA -A man is in critical condition after a snowmobile crash west of Ottawa.

A 27-year-old man collided with an ice fishing hut with a snowmobile on Lake Madawaska around 1 a.m. Saturday.

Mississippi Mills Fire department said the crash happened near Ryan Duncan Side Road and they told 1310News they had to remove the man from the wreckage.

He suffered a serious head injury and both Ottawa Police and O-P-P are investigating.
