2012 Ferguslea Sens Soirée raises $250K for Children and Youth

OTTAWA – Over 700 guests including Sens players, coaching staff and management packed the Hilton Lac Leamy Sunday night for the 2012 Ferguslea Sens Soirée.

The annual event raised $250,000 for the Sens Foundation which will support youth with mental health issues and addictions, pediatric healthcare programs and outdoor community rink construction projects.

The Hawaiian themed event included auctioning off an all-access pass to the up coming Juno Awards, and a trip to Santiago, Chile to sample fine wines.  It also offered a package for the 2012 IIHF World Hockey Championships in Helsinki and a chance to play golf with two top Senators.

Over the last 20 years the Sens Foundation and Ottawa Senators Alumni have raised over $65-million for the community, and the Ferguslea Sens Soirée has raised over $3-million for children’s charities in the city.
