Air Canada operations returning to normal

Air Canada’s operations appear to be returning to normal after yesterday’s so-called “sick-in” by pilots.
The airline’s website says its regular schedule has resumed following the cancellation of dozens of flights yesterday.
Toronto’s Pearson airport only showed a handful of cancellations and delays by mid-afternoon, though more were listed earlier in the day.
Amanda Champagne waited hours at the airport this morning, hoping to book a new flight to Newfoundland and Labrador.
She says Air Canada staff have told her it could take her up to a week to get to Deer Lake.
Air Canada spokesman Peter Fitzpatrick says today’s problems at Pearson were the result of “planes being out of position” due to yesterday’s labour action.
