Police look for sexual assault suspect

The Ottawa Police are looking for tips from the public following a disturbing sexual assault downtown on Sunday morning.

According to police, a 25 year old woman was attacked just before 1am as she walked along Elgin Street near Slater Street.

A man reportedly came up behind her and put his hand on her face, a hand that was allegedly covered in a bodily fluid.

The suspect is described as being a white male between the ages of 25 and 35, 5’7 – 5’8 in height with a medium build.

He was spotted wearing a beige coat, and possibly a red hat.

Anyone with information or tips related to the incident should contact the Sexual Assault Section of the Ottawa Police at 613-236-1222 ext. 5944.
