Vending machines won’t accept new 20 dollar bills

The new plastic 20-dollar bills still don’t work in thousands of vending machines across Canada — and the vending machine operators blame the Bank of Canada.
Kim Lockie, the vending industry’s point man for the conversion project, says the Bank of Canada didn’t give them enough time to convert their machines.
But a bank official says it gave vending operators test notes six months before their release.
The new 20’s were released in November.
