Planning committee gives green light to complex at Bronson and Carling despite objections

OTTAWA, Ont. – The city’s planning committee has given the green light to an 18-storey condo complex for Carling and Bronson Avenues, despite objections from area residents and the ward’s councillor.

David Chernushenko and several residents opposed the building size, saying it will add traffic. They also said the proposed building doesn’t meet City of Ottawa height criteria and would block sunlight.

The planning committee approved the plan this week. It will go to Ottawa City Council for final review April 10, 2013.
