iPhone 6 on sale; hundreds line up at Rideau Centre

OTTAWA – The much-anticipated iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are on sale.

At the Rideau Centre, people started lining up Thursday to get their hands on the latest Apple smartphone.

As of 6 a.m. Friday morning, there were more than 200 people, including 1310’s Kristy Cameron in that line.

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are 50 per cent more energy-efficient than previous iPhones, the technology giant says.

The iPhone 6 will have a screen measuring 4.7 inches, while the iPhone 6 Plus will be 5.5 inches. The two phones are also the thinnest iPhones ever made.
