Large explosion, fire in Greely deemed arson: police

OTTAWA – A large explosion and fire at a home in Greely last week has been deemed arson.

Police said there was no grow-op or meth lab in any of the three buildings that were levelled in the blast on Stagecoach Road Thursday evening.

Emergency crews were called to 1934 Stagecoach Rd. just before 8:30 p.m. Nobody was injured in the incident, but witnesses reported seeing vehicles speeding away from the area shortly after the blast.

A criminal investigation is ongoing.
