OTTAWA – Twin brothers facing terrorism charges are due at the Elgin Street courthouse Thursday afternoon, as part of the bail phase.
Ashton and Carlos Larmond, both of Ottawa, are accused of plotting to leave Canada for terrorism activities overseas.
Carlos was arrested at Trudeau Airport in Montreal in January, while Ashton was arrested in Ottawa.
The brothers are not allowed to communicate with each other, but are both being held at the Ottawa-Carleton Detention Centre, where Carlos Larmond was beaten up in early March.
Meantime, Suliman Mohamed, 21, is accused of conspiring to participate in a terrorist activity with the Larmond brothers. He is also set to appear in court Thursday.
