Rideau Canal skateway officially opens

OTTAWA – The Rideau Canal Skateway is officially open.
A 3.8 km section from Somerset St. to the Bank St. Bridge is open for skaters.
Ice conditions are considered “fair.”
With a continued cold spell, the National Capital Commission’s maintenance crews will be working around the clock to open the remainder of the skateway.
