MONTREAL – An Ottawa man is among those arrested in a bust of an organized crime ring in Montreal.
Police accuse the 15 of importing cocaine into Canada from the United States through its contacts with commercial land carriers.
Antonio Guido, 40 of Ottawa, and fourteen others, are charged with offences mainly related to cocaine importation and trafficking.
The other accused are in the Montreal area, with one currently imprisoned in Kingston, and one still at-large.
The whereabouts of 48-year-old Riccardo Preteroti, 48, are unknown.
RCMP say this is the third and last phase of a large investigation, dubbed Project Clemenza, which started in 2010.
The accused currently under arrest are scheduled to appear in court by video in Montreal, Wednesday.
