Ottawa murder suspect picked up on drug, weapons charges in Thunder Bay

OTTAWA – The suspect in a murder in Blossom Park in the spring has been picked up in Thunder Bay on drug and weapons charges.

While he has never been charged, Ottawa Police named Jonathan Ranger of Ottawa as a suspect in a double-shooting on Farriers Lane that left Nicholas Kim, 30, dead and Katrina Galloway, 27, injured.

Ranger and Galloway are ex-partners and have a child together.

Ranger was picked up in Thunder Bay, along with three other people Monday, as the result of a police investigation that saw officers seize weapons, drugs and money.

Ranger remains in police custody in Thunder Bay.
