RCMP identify deceased in Sir John A. MacDonald Parkway crash

Ottawa's division of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police are identifying a cyclist, killed on the Sir John A. MacDonald Parkway at Onigam Street, just east of Parkdale Avenue.
Junfeng Wu, 40, of Ottawa was hit by a taxi around 6:45 a.m., Friday.
Despite CPR efforts from bystanders until paramedics arrived, Wu passed away about twenty minutes after the incident.
No other details are being made available at this time, as police continue their investigation.
Considering this crash, the RCMP would like to remind drivers of the following:
– The speed limit on the parkways is 60km/hr.
– Drive according to roads and weather conditions.
– Keep safe distance behind other vehicles (don't tailgate).
– Slow down and give yourself extra travel time
– Clear snow and ice from your vehicle.
– No cruise control.
– Pay attention and anticipate your next move.
