Online 50/50 tickets now available during Ottawa Senators home games

By Mike Vlasveld

The Ottawa Senators Foundation has officially launched its new online 50/50 platform for Ottawa Senators games at Canadian Tire Centre.

Starting on March 7, the new online platform will enhance the current 50/50 raffle program offering by opening it to Senators fans across the province of Ontario, increasing the number of players, which will lead to bigger jackpots and therefore greater charitable investments and impact for children and youth in the capital region.

In its newly released Phase 2 of Charitable Gaming Standards, the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario has made online 50/50 raffle sales a possibility.

The Ottawa Senators Foundation teamed up with local tech firms, Canadian Bank Note Ltd. and Shopify to bring their unique solution to market.

“Improving the lives of children and youth in our community and creating more excitement for our fans is paramount to the Ottawa Senators Foundation and the Ottawa Senators Hockey Club,” said Danielle Robinson, president, and CEO, Ottawa Senators Foundation. “With more players, we are confident this will translate to larger jackpots, which will allow the Senators Foundation to have an even great impact in our local community. This program will be a big win-win for everyone involved.”

The new platform is combined with the raffles currently happening during Ottawa Senators home games.

Fans will now have the ability to purchase their tickets from a seller, online or on their mobile device.

Updates on the current prize amounts, winning numbers and claimed jackpots will be posted on the Senators Foundation's social media channels in addition to the Senators Foundation website.
