Ottawa police make arrest following three robberies in the Carlington area

A 20-year-old Ottawa man is facing a few robbery charges after incidents at three locations in Carlington.

Ottawa police say the robberies happened at a bank, a convenience store and a fast food restaurant, as follows:

  • Friday, February 1, at 9:56 a.m., in the 1300 block of Baseline Road
  • Thursday, February 7,  at 7:08 p.m., in the 700 block of Baseline Road
  • Thursday, February 7, at 7:30 p.m., in the 700 block of Baseline Road

In each case the suspect passed a note to a clerk, demanding money.
     
A search warrant was executed at a home on Silver Street, just east of Merivale Road in Carlington, Tuesday morning, and a man was arrested.

Muse Abdirahaman, 20 year old of Ottawa is facing the charges of:

  • Robbery with violence
  • Robbery (3 counts)

He is scheduled to appear in show cause court Tuesday afternoon.
