Here's what's open and closed on Easter Weekend.
City of Ottawa Services
– 311 Contact Centre – open 24/7
– City Hall and all seven Client Service Centres are closed.
– Compost, recycling and garbage collection: There is no pick up scheduled for Friday or Sunday. Collections will happen on Saturday and the rest of the week following.
– Library Services – closed
– Sexual Health Clinic – closed Sunday and Monday
– Mental Health Crisis Line: open 24/7. You can call 613-722-6914 or 1-866-996-0991 to speak with someone.
– Ottawa Public Health information centre – will be closed on Friday and Monday. Staff will respond to inquiries within one business day. If you need to report a public health emergency after hours and on statutory holidays, call 311, (613-580-2400, TTY: 580-2401) and ask for the Public Health Officer on call.
Food
Most grocery stores in the city will be closed.
Alcohol
LCBO stores and The Beer Store are closed.
Shopping
– The ByWard Market is open.
– The Rideau Centre is closed.
– Bayshore Shopping Centre is closed.
– The St. Laurent Shopping Centre is closed.
– Place d'Orléans is closed.
– Tanger Outlets is closed
Transit
– Public transit: Good Friday will run on the Sunday Schedule.
Easter Monday will run on a revised weekly schedule. Easter holiday schedules can be checked at octranspo.com
– Para Transpo: Good Friday and Easter Monday will operate a holiday service. Regular scheduled trips are automatically cancelled, except for regularly scheduled trips on Easter Sunday.
– Gatineau transit: Friday and Monday will run on the Saturday schedule.

Recreation
– Pools, arenas and fitness centres will be operating on modified schedules on Friday, including public swimming and fitness schedules.
– Many arts centres, archives, galleries and theatres will be closed on Good Friday, but there will be some exceptions.
– Museums: Most museums are open
