Child porn charges against two Ottawa men

A tip from police in Australia has led to a child porn bust in Blossom Park, and investigators worry that some of the victims are local.
Ottawa police were tipped off in late 2017 by the Queensland Police Service, in Australia, about a suspect who appeared to be located in the Ottawa area.
Police received a separate, unrelated tip from a social media company in late 2018 about a user, who appeared to be in the Ottawa area, involved in the distribution of child pornography.
Follow-up investigations by the Ottawa Police Internet Child Exploitation Unit identified both suspect users to be at the same address in the Blossom Park area.
Police say they searched the home, Tuesday, seizing and examining electronic devices. Police say investigators found extensive collections of images and videos of children being sexually abused, bound and tortured.
Two Ottawa men, Vernon Brock, 56, and Christopher Oake, 25, have both been charged with two counts of possession of child pornography. Brock has also been charged with one count of making child pornography available.
Both men were due in court, Wednesday.
Identification of the victims in the images and videos is ongoing, but investigators are concerned that victims may be in the Ottawa area.
