Algonquin College ranks highly in several categories of Canada's Top 50 Research Colleges list.
According to results published by Research Infosource Inc. as part of their 2019 edition of 'Canada's Top 50 Research Colleges', the college ranks first for Number of Completed Research Projects and Number of Paid Student Researchers.
When looking at large Canadian colleges, Algonquin led the pack in terms for Completed Research Projects with a total of 267. In addition to this, Algonquin came in second among large Canadian colleges for its number of Research Partnerships.
This is now the fourth year in a row that the institution ranks in the top five for Completed Research Projects. For Claude Brulé, the college's president and CEO, the list's results help confirm the college's position as a top institution.
“Algonquin College has developed a truly national reputation for excellence in applied research,” says Claude Brulé, adding, “Guided by our cutting-edge Applied Research Centres and our faculty expertise, our learners are gaining invaluable experience as they engage with our industry partners to solve real-world problems.”
