First shooting of the year takes place in Barrhaven

Just four and a half hours into 2020, the capital saw its first shooting of the year.

It happened at 4:30 a.m. Wednesday at a home in the 100 block of Willow Creek Circle in Barrhaven, near Woodroffe Avenue.

Three people were arrested in relation to the incident and have been released. There are no outstanding suspects.

Ottawa police tell 1310 NEWS no one was injured.

Investigators are looking to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the incident.
