Broadway Across Canada is postponing its current season at Ottawa's National Arts Centre (NAC) until at least next spring, as it continues to deal with challenges of scheduling touring shows during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The season, which is expected to begin in April 2021, will feature Tony Award winner Dear Evan Hansen, Tina Fey's Mean Girls starting in June and Anastasia in November.
The NAC says, unfortunately Broadway Across Canada was not able to reschedule Fiddler On The Roof, so it will simply be cancelled.
The arts centre adds that its showing of Hamilton, which was originally rescheduled to perform this November/December, has also been postponed to January of 2022.
All ticket holders are expected to receive an email from their point of purchase with follow up information on their tickets, which remain valid for the new dates. Subscribers will receive an automatic refund for their Fiddler On The Roof tickets in lieu of the cancellation.
