An employee at Home Depot's South Keys store has tested positive for COVID-19.

The company confirmed the diagnosis in a statement to 1310 NEWS, and adds that the employee has not been at the 2056 Bank Street location since July 17.

The worker is at home in self-isolation.

Home Depot has said that it has taken additional steps to clean and disinfect the store with viricidal cleaner and will continue disinfecting high-touch and high-traffic areas several times a day.

Staff and customers are required to wear masks inside Ottawa Home Depot stores, as per the capital's mask by-law.
