Two Ottawa residents arrested in relation to Rockland homicide

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested two Ottawa residents in connection to a homicide that took place in Clarence-Rockland, late July.

Police responded to a 9-1-1 call shortly before midnight on July 23rd at a residence of Lemay Circle. Upon arrival, officers located David Tobin, 42, of Clarence Rockland, deceased inside the home. A 41-year-old man was transported to hospital with life-altering injuries.

The OPP executed search warrants at four residences in Ottawa on August 5th in connection to the investigation. As a result, two people were arrested on August 12 with the assistance of the Ottawa Police Service.

Hassan Dahis, 20, and Mohammed Moussa, 19, both face charges of first degree murder and attempted murder.

The accused remain in custody and are scheduled for video court appearances on Thursday.

Police continue to investigate.
