Seven ATM robberies result in break and enter charges

The Ottawa Police Service has charged a 24-year-old man with numerous break and enter charges after seven ATM robberies.

Police say they began investigating a series of break and enters in early August that involved  automatic teller machines (ATM).
 
Officers say in each case, businesses were broken into after hours and the machines were carried  away or robbed.

The break and enters took place at several addresses in the city including Hunt Club Road, Bank Street and St-Laurent Boulevard between August 3 and August 17.

Ottawa police have charged Haidar El-Cheikh,24, of Ottawa, in relation to the investigation. He is scheduled to appear in court Friday. 

Police continue to investigate the incidents.
