Registration for City of Ottawa arts programs for kid and teens opens this week

By Dani-Elle Dubé

Registration for City of Ottawa art programs — both virtual and in-person — are coming this week to a computer screen near you.

Despite the restriction and complications COVID-19 has brought to residents of the city and beyond this year, the city will continue holding a variety of arts courses, and registration for those courses will be open starting Monday, November 2 at 9 p.m.

The Arts Centres’ eGuide is now online to peruse the visual and digital art courses, dance classes and music lessons, like keyboard or guitar.

Other classes include pottery, virtual animation, painting and intro to game development, among many others.

These classes are for a range of age groups, from between two to 14 years old.

The courses are offered as both modified in-person sessions or virtually within the comfort of your home.

To register, go to the City of Ottawa website, click the relevant barcode (it will take you to the course page with details about number of available spaces, fees and dates) and then add the class to your cart and proceed to the checkout.

Courses will start November 6.
