Arrest made after Ottawa U.S. Embassy vandalism

One man is facing charges after Ottawa police say the U.S. Embassy on Sussex Drive was vandalized.

Officers received a call about a suspicious person in that area on Wednesday, around 5:10 p.m, and arrested a man after discovering that property had been damaged.

The Ottawa Police Service says the incident was investigated, and as a result, the man has been charged with:

Mischief to property over $5,000
Mischief obstruct/tamper property

The accused is expected to appear in court at a later date.
