Canadian Museum of Nature reopens in time for weekend after seven-week closure

After being closed for almost two months, the Canadian Museum of Nature is reopening just in time for the weekend ahead.
The Ottawa museum is opening its doors to visitors again on Friday, February 25, the museum announced on Wednesday, February 23.
The museum was closed for a chunk of time due to COVID-19 directives, followed by disruptions from the truck convoy demonstration in downtown Ottawa.
Enhanced measures and modified procedures will continue to be in place for visitors and staff. These include requirement for proof of vaccination with a QR code for all visitors aged 12 and up, timed-online ticketing, wearing masks, physical distancing and directional signage.
Hours of operation are Wednesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with an extended free period on Thursday evening from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The first hour on Thursday and Sunday (10 a.m. to 11 a.m.) is reserved for members.
Advanced online tickets are required, including for the free Thursday evening, and can be reserved in 15-minute time slots at Nature.ca.
