Ottawa police searching for suspects in stabbing near Elmvale Acres Shopping Centre

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is asking for the public's help to identify two men involved in a stabbing near the Elmvale Acres Shopping Centre earlier this year. 

Police say an altercation between the victim and two suspects occurred in a parking lot in the 1900 block of St. Laurent Boulevard around 12:05 p.m. on Monday, January 31. 

The victim was sprayed with a chemical irritant and then stabbed in the back. 

According to police, all three fled the scene before officers arrived and the victim was later located in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

Suspect one is described as:

  • Black man
  • Between 18-25-years-old
  • Thin build

Wearing:

  • Light blue cut-up jeans
  • Black jacket with fur-lined hood
  • Black mask
  • Black shoes with a red tongue

Suspect two is described as:

  • Black man
  • Between 18-25-years-old
  • Thin build

Wearing:

  • White t-shirt
  • Grey 'Roots' sweatpants
  • Hoodie
  • Black mask
  • Black winter jacket
  • Black gloves
  • Brown Timberland boots
